I am a general medical practitioner (GP) with an interest in women’s health, menopause care and family planning. I graduated from The University of Leeds in 2007 and went onto complete GP training in 2014.
I work as an NHS GP in North and West Yorkshire. I have received faculty trainer status with the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare and I work in the sexual health service where I insert Intrauterine devices and contraceptive implants. I am a member of the British Menopause Society (BMS) and I am in the process of completing the BMS advanced certificate in menopause care.
I am a member of the British Menopause Society, British Medical Association and Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare.
As a GP I have been able to witness the difference that good menopause care can make to women’s lives. The menopause can be an extremely challenging and emotive time. However, I believe that the menopause can also be a very positive experience.
Given the right support women can make positive lifestyle choices at any stage of their lives.
At the Leeds Menopause Clinic I am committed to providing you with a high standard of evidence based care. The care you receive will be patient-centred, individualised and holistic.
