I am a chartered psychologist with 19 years’ experience of helping people with emotional and interpersonal difficulties.
I currently hold roles with the NHS and the Open University. In my private practice I predominantly use the modalities of Schema Therapy and Internal Family Systems to assist people in understanding the reasons why they may behave and think in unhelpful ways.
My therapy style uses eclectic, creative and responsive methods to unblock and reprocess early negative experiences in a safe space. Treatment also involves a mentoring approach to coach clients to develop more robust skills for managing their emotions and relationships, to allow for better, more fulfilling lives.
I believe in a holistic approach to wellness where therapy is only one part of achieving a balanced lifestyle. To practice what I preach in this respect, I have an active life out work, being a husband, father of three children and an owner of 2 dogs. I also play volleyball competitively and am a keen amateur musician.
