Rachel is a fully-qualified, ITEC accredited complementary practitioner specialising in Reflexology, Fertility and Pregnancy Reflexology, Therapeutic Massage and Ear Candling.
After a successful 12 year career in food marketing, Rachel decided to retrain in Reflexology and Therapeutic massage because she had herself searched for therapy when she was working at senior levels in demanding multi-national corporations. She often sought complementary treatments and approaches to maintaining her health and wellbeing as well as to treat specific health related issues that were not successfully addressed through the medical system. Of all the treatments and complementary therapies Rachel tried, she found Reflexology and genuine therapeutic massage gave the most consistent and lasting results.
After experiencing first-hand the powerful benefits of having reflexology during pregnancy and postnally, Rachel decided to undertake maternity led reflexology training with acclaimed midwife and reflexologist Susanne Enzer. Rachel now practices and specialises in fertility and pregnancy reflexology as part of her practice.
Hopi Ear Candling was added to Rachel’s therapies when she realised how many clients complained with persistent ear, sinus and hearing problems and how effective ear candling could be for some clients in lessening symptoms when treated over a period of time.
Rachel trained at the well-regarded York School of Complementary Medicine and Sylvia Brearley School of Therapy in Harrogate and holds Diplomas at Distinction level in both Reflexology and Therapeutic Massage. Rachel is a member of the Complementary Therapy Association(CThA) and a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and adheres fully their codes, professional practices and insurance policies.
Rachel lives locally in Wetherby with her partner and twin boys and practices at Pure Treatment Rooms on Fridays and Saturdays.
