Clinical psychologists help people by assessing their problems, applying psychological thinking and understanding, and providing a range of therapeutic interventions. They have undertaken many years of specialist training to assess and treat people in distress and help to improve their psychological well-being. Psychologists also provide training, supervision and consultancy to other mental health professionals.
Many people benefit from seeing a clinical psychologist to help them to understand themselves and their difficulties better, in the context of their lives, and to find ways to move forward.
