Art Therapy is a form of psychotherapy where clients use art to enable communication and emotional expression. There are times when people struggle to verbally describe their feelings, however; may find it easier to express their selves through art making.
Art therapy is suitable for every age, Sent from my iPhone young children to adults and it can be exceptionally beneficial for people who suffer from trauma, depression, anxiety and stress related matters or have interpersonal difficulties such as self harm and other behavioural difficulties.
This form of therapy is based on a psychodynamic model of psychotherapy, with focus on how significant past relationships maybe impacting on current functioning.
